About
Wassily Kandinsky wrote that the three fundamental elements of visual art are the point, line and plane. Composers create musical worlds on manuscript paper using these very same elements: note-heads and tails converging into fluctuating masses of imagined sound. In point line plane, I approach musical notation like a painter would a canvas, growing abstract forms from a palette of dots and lines.
